WHY NOT BECOME A MEMBER OF PHYLLIS COURT CLUB?
Once you have joined, you’ll agree that it’s a club like no other, with a surprising range of activities to suit all interests – and with an annual membership fee that is considerably less than you’d pay to join most local golf or sports clubs.
Come and make new friends, …broaden your mind, enjoy new activities, learn new skills ….keep fit.
What can you do at the Club?
Your membership will allow you to join any of no fewer than thirty different Interest Groups, all run by groups of members.
Do you like singing or going to jazz or classical music concerts? Are you a theatre buff? Do you want to row or canoe? Use a tablet computer? Dance? Do you want to play tennis or croquet in idyllic surroundings? Are you interested in wines or real ale, in aviation, in railways? Do you enjoy playing scrabble or bridge? Visiting museums, galleries and stately homes? Or perhaps you paint? All of these interests – and many more – can be pursued at the Club.
Additionally, the Club offers very pleasant surroundings in which to catch up on some work or meet colleagues or friends over coffee and a Danish or afternoon tea.
Oh, and of course it goes without saying that you can enjoy good food and a drink in our elegant riverside clubhouse, meet up with friends for a coffee or afternoon tea, or just relax with a newspaper in the lounge or on the terrace overlooking the Thames. And, yes, of course you are welcome to bring guests, including children.
HERE ARE A FEW MORE FACTS…………..
Who owns Phyllis Court Club?
The Club is owned by its Members, and it is run for its Members.
Who are the Members?
Members range from those in their twenties to those in their eighties and even beyond. Many are retired, after successful careers in all manner of professions. Many are still working, either full- or part-time. Some are single, many not. (There is even an Interest Group for single members, called The One Club). Most have one thing in common, though, and that is the wish to lead a busy and stimulating life – which is why the wide variety of activities offered at Phyllis Court suits them so well.
Phyllis Court has 17 hotel bedrooms (by the way, there is a special Members’ rate), meeting rooms, three function rooms in the main club-house (all licensed for weddings) plus the wonderfully located Riverside Pavilion (also licensed for weddings), and free wi-fi throughout the premises.
